Let’s face it, whether we are comfortable with it or not, we are living in an age of technology. People of all ages are “plugged” in to various types of media and communication devices on a daily basis...iPods, cell phones, laptops, gaming machines, and even our cars allow us to communicate “hands free,” watch movies, and even guide us through unfamiliar territory. For those of us who may be a little uncomfortable with the advancement of technology, I would like to urge all of us to think of technology as God’s way of creating even more portals for Christians to reach out to our “unchurched” friends and neighbors.
Flint First is a church with a mission of Loving People...Serving People...Loving God...Serving God. Technology is the threshold that allows us to effectively communicate this mission not only in person but also through our website and outreach programs. As Christians, we know how the word of God can change lives. We also know it is not always through reading the Bible that we initially discover what might be missing in our lives. The Internet is so alive with Christian videos, music, and reading material for all ages. God has called us to be communicators for Him. Fortunately, as time has marched on He has provided new avenues and methods for Christian witness opportunities.
